First, on a somber note… To say that we in Houston are experiencing April showers would be an understatement, to say the least. The flooding in the Houston area has been of epic proportions. For those of you who have asked, thank you for your concern. I personally have been fortunate to be unaffected. But many people around here have not been so fortunate. People have lost cars, belongings, homes, and even their lives.

If you feel compelled to help, I suggest giving to the American Red Cross. My understanding is that funds given to the Texas Gulf Coast region will stay in the region to help those affected. Thank you.

The 23 Best Pool Floats for Summer 2016

On a lighter note, I am looking forward to the day soon when the clouds recede, the sun shines, and the temperatures rise! I am a warm weather gal. Sunshine makes me happy.

I’m already dreaming of plenty of pool parties this summer. And it goes without saying that a pool party is nothing without oversized pool floats, right? Last summer, my primary flotation device was the hugely popular pink flamingo, although I sometimes opted for an ice cream sandwich float or a donut float.

This summer, I think I’ll mix it up. Maybe a toucan, a whale, or a rubber ducky? What do you think? Whether you are looking for something sweet, something savory, something sporty, or something retro, there’s surely a float to float your boat.

Fun fact: did you know that you can click directly on the images in the collage below to shop the products? Yep. It’s super easy. Give it a try. 😉

I just love pool floats so much!! They make me so happy whenever I see them!! I am really hoping to get a few this summer! I love the pizza slice, especially because the ones from urban outfitters connect together so 6 slices make a whole circle of pizza!! (dreams haha) I think the gummy bear float is super cute too! Happy Friday 🙂 Happy to hear you have been unaffected from the flood, my heart goes out to all those affected <3

    1. Carrie says:

Yes, wouldn’t the entire pizza be too fun?! 😀

Thank you for the comments regarding the flooding.

    Hi Carrie,
Was thinking about you when I learned about the flooding.

The pizza slice is my favourite. Would be fun for my kids at our pool this summer.
The Kylie Jenner article is interesting. I detest the Kardashians. I run the other direction when I come across any product that they have even a remote connection to.

That is another story, isn’t it?

    1. Carrie says:

      Sheri –

Thanks for the kind thoughts re the flooding. It’s nice to see the sun shining again today!

LOL – I probably land along the same lines of thought as you with some of the Kardashian stuff. I’m just not a big follower of people who are just famous for being famous.

      To each her own… 😉

      Have a great weekend!

  7. Erin says:

Hi Carrie, I totally agree with Sheri regarding the Kardashian’s…It’s obnoxious that their faces are on every magazine & continually covered by news outlets…ugh! The pool floats on the other hand, are amazing! Especially ❤️ The gum ball machine, ducky, swan, oh shoot, I want em all! So fun! ?, Erin

    1. Carrie says:

Ha! Totally agree on all counts. 😉

  8. Jenn Lake says:

So ridiculously cute! I tried to bring a floaty with me on vacation a few years back, but I ran out of room in my suitcase! I think all hotels should offer them as amenities like they do with down pillows or slippers!

    1. Carrie says:

Oh I like the way you think!!! We should start a petition…

  9. Jyotsna says:

Such a great post, love all the unique fun floats in your round up! xo
