3 Reasons to Try Off the Shoulder Tops
The off the shoulder look has emerged as a key silhouette this season. I am certainly a fan of the look. And I encourage you to try the trend for three key reasons.
1. Suitable for all
It’s a trend everyone can rock! Regardless of your age, body, style, this look is flattering on all. Consider the off the shoulder look a nice, friendly alternative to last year’s cropped top trend. Let’s be honest – baring your clavicle is much less intimidating that baring your belly.
2. Flirty yet subtle
This is a way to show some skin, but in a sophisticated, classy manner. There is something to be said for a bit of subtlety and mystery.
3. Summer ready
With an airy, relaxed, cool vibe, these tops practically embody the summer spirit. Plus, you’ll stay cool with the exposed shoulders. Wear the look with skinny jeans, midi skirt (as I did here), or even culottes. If you want to pair it with denim shorts, be sure to pay attention to length of shorts in proportion to the length of the top.

For this look, I paired the Tibi top with J Brand white distressed skinny jeans, the fabulous statement heels, and a cute, quirky pineapple clutch by Koku. I chose to go sans necklace to leave the clavicle area exposed as the center of attention. Sometimes less is more.
