Wool Pink J.Crew Pants Styled 3 Ways
I know, I know… When you think about versatile wardrobe staples, pink pants aren’t exactly the first thing that come to mind. Understandably, those sound more like statement pieces that you’ll only wear a few times at most.
However, I beg to differ.
As we first pined about here, pink is one of the prime colors for fall / winter 2016. Isn’t it a breath of fresh air to see so much pink in fall? As a pink lover since childhood, I am particularly thrilled about this trend.
As shown on Monday, blush pink is a wonderfully soft, feminine option for incorporating the color into your fall looks. But if you are looking for a bolder option, you must try this flamingo pink hue that J.Crew popularized this season. To help persuade you to try this happy color, we have three ideas for wearing these bright pink pants.
Keep reading for details on all three ways I styled these pants, plus a bonus feature with my friend Lyndsey of L. Avenue Blog.
Look 1: Pink Pants Casual Day Look
When I spotted this striped merino sweater in the J.Crew for Net-a-Porter exclusive collection, I knew I had to have it. Not only is the sweater striped and pink, but it’s a nice lightweight for the warm fall weather we’re having in Houston. Win, win, win!
This look has already proven to be a go-to day look for me. The pants elevate the look above how it would look with jeans, yet the look remains comfortable for a day on the go.
In the spirit of full disclosure, for practical purposes, I’ve been swapping out these Gucci heels for sneakers like these Adidas or my Golden Goose sneakers. That change makes this a perfect look for a day of running errands around town.
Look 2: Pink Pants Feminine Day Look
For look number 2, I played up the de facto feminine nature of pink with some ruffles! I’m obsessed with all things by Columbian designer Johanna Ortiz, so I I wore this Johanna Ortiz top. It’s definitely a splurge, but I also have and love this J.Crew Edie top. You can easily accomplish essentially the same look with the Edie top for much less.
If you’re wondering where I would wear this look, that’s an easy answer! In fact, I wore this yesterday to a luncheon benefiting Dec My Room. This wonderful organization decorates children’s hospital rooms, helping to create a place of healing.
Look 3: Pink Pants Evening Suiting Look
Finally, for the final look, I went all out with the flamingo pink! After all, why wear just one bright pink piece when you can wear two? Go bold with both the pink pants and the pink blazer to create a full bright pink suit!
Note that I kept the rest of my look very neutral and classic to balance out the bold look. Classic black pumps and a timeless black bag seal the deal with this look.
Bonus: Additional Idea for the Pink Blazer
Now, if you’ve fallen in love with this pink blazer (as I have), I have a bonus for you… I’ve partnered with my friend Lyndsey Zorich of L.Avenue to bring you another idea for styling this blazer. I love how soon-to-be-mama Lyndsey made this blazer at once casual, feminine, and edgy with her styling. Read more on her website, plus be sure you’re following her on Instagram.

Truly, the options are endless! So, do you dare to don this bold pink hue? Oh, we do hope you will consider it. And if you do, let us know how you wear it!
