About Coach 1941
Do you think you know Coach? Think again!
Sure, we are all familiar with the iconic signature C handbags that were popular in years past. Those bags were the hottest item in fashion for quite some time. I personally recall searching relentlessly for this beautiful signature C messenger bag with multicolor stripes in 2007. It became my laptop and book bag for MBA school. I carried it with pride for years.
However, if the handbags of yore are all you think of when you hear the brand Coach, let me introduce you to the new Coach! In just a few seasons, executive creative designer Stuart Vevers has breathed new creative energy into the brand.
Named for the year Coach was founded, Coach 1941 is the newly expanded collection of not only handbags, but ready-to-wear clothes and accessories. The luxury collection by Coach reimagines iconic Americana in a new way. While the collection may be updated, modern, and relevant, it also successfully honors the craftsmanship, creativity, and leather quality of the traditional Coach brand. The attention to detail of the collection is amazing!
Coach 1941 Spring Collection
The spring collection really caught my attention when it was shown in NYC in September. I’ve been eagerly awaiting its arrival. The fun, fresh, energetic florals lend a 70s bohemian chic feel to the collection, while the patchwork prints and earth tones harken the American west. At the root of it all is the Americana for which Coach is renowned.
My favorite floral piece is of course the dress I’m wearing. Plus, I’m smitten with this patchwork leather jacket and this leather biker vest. And I can’t get enough of this bag. The intricate details are even more beautiful in person. Browse my look and other great pieces from the collection here:
Houston Coach 1941 Event

How great that you are featuring Coach. I got my first Coach bag after my son was born as a gift from my husband. It is a cross-body. I didn’t want an obvious “C” on it, so the one he got me was more subtle print. A couple of years later and we went to Boston and I visited a Coach store near Faneuil Hall and got a cute wristlet in some of the purple design that came out that season. Finally, last fall, we were in Winnipeg (Canada) and I purchased a pair of Coach pumps that I wore to work quite often all fall.
I have always been happy with my purchases. The crossbody patchwork small bag (“dinky”) is really adorable from the 1941 collection.
