If you’ve been reading Wear + Where + Well for any length of time at all, my love for Aquazzura shoes is no secret. A simple search of the site archives reveals that I’ve highlighted the designer more than twenty times in the last year!

The label was founded by designer Edgardo Osorio just four short years ago. In 2011, he set out to create glamorous, elegant, feminine shoes for the modern woman. The designer might be Colombian-born, but the shoes are hand crafted just outside Florence, Italy. He has successfully managed to marry the sensual nature of his homeland with the luxury of Italy. While the shoes are extremely sexy, they remain relatively comfortable, thanks to extra cushioning and intentional proportions that maximize comfort. As the designer says,

“It’s all about the woman, how her shoes make her more beautiful, how to make her legs look longer, how to make her feel strong, sexy, and comfortable.”

Aquazzura shoes are certainly having a major moment in the spotlight. Countless celebrities including Charlize Theron, Kendall Jenner, and Dakota Johnson have recently been spotted donning the femme footwear.
