Burberry : The Quintessential British Brand

When I think of classic British fashion, nothing comes to mind more than the iconic Burberry label. Classic yet modern, identifiable yet minimalist, the label is immediately recognizable with its classic check patterns and timeless cuts.

In fact, if you were to ask me to recommend one single investment piece for your wardrobe, I would unequivocally tell you to buy a Burberry trench coat. While certainly not cheap (and for good reason), the trench coats are a classy staple that simply will not ever go out of style.

Whether you opt for a classic neutral trench coat like this one or a standout eye catching piece like this blush lace trench, you can’t go wrong. In fact, I speak from experience, as I have purchased two Burberry trenches over the years — one neutral one (classic khaki with black patent leather accents) and one standout one (an ombre pink and red trench). It seems I have never featured the neutral trench here, but you can see glimpses of the brightly colored ombre trench here and here. Surprisingly, perhaps to you, I have worn it so much!

Nordstrom as a Go-To Source for Burberry

But did you know, though, that the Burberry range of products goes well beyond trenches? And that you don’t have to drop an enormous amount of money to wear the label? Indeed, Nordstrom is a great source to see the breadth and width of the Burberry line. You can see Nordstrom’s extensive Burberry collection here.

When you browse the entire collection, one thing you’ll notice is that there are some reasonably priced options for donning the polished pieces of Burberry. Case in point: this look. For instance, I was really excited to pick up this tee for $125! Did you notice the signature check trim at the elbow? As a Houston Rockets fan, I’m always needing red pieces to wear to the games, yet find my closet lacking in stylish, but casual red pieces. Problem solved! Plus, this umbrella and these rain boots will have me ready to tackle a rainy day in style!

    Hi Carrie,
I love Burberry. I have a classic tan trench in the Kensington style. I love it and wear it to work often.

I’ll be checking out that t-shirt you recommended 🙂
