I have some good news and some bad news for you today. Which would you like first?
Sachin & Babi Sequin Dress
Okay – let’s get the bad news out of the way… This uniquely crafted reversible sequin dress by Sachin & Babi is sold out.
Nevertheless, I had to share this with you because of its remarkable craftsmanship. With a simple swipe of the hand, the dress changes from a predominantly white pattern to a predominantly red pattern. Notice the nuances in the photos.
I have been wearing the dress non-stop during my recent travels, dressing it up and dressing it down. The dress is such a captivating piece, creating intrigue everywhere I go. It’s this sort of creative detail that keeps me coming back to Sachin & Babi designs again and again.
The Las Vegas Neon Museum
Now for the good news… If you love color, if you love typography, if you love vintage signs, if you love history, then I have a must-see spot for you in Las Vegas: The Neon Museum. Located in downtown , the Las Vegas Neon Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, studying, and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs of the past.
I had heard about this special spot for sign enthusiasts like me for several years. But I only recently got to visit it for the first time.
Even with my high expectations, the gathering of goodness totally exceeded my expectations. While it is a bit sad for these famous signs no longer in service, seeing them all together in one location creates a feast for the eyes!
Even though the day I visited was extremely cold and rainy, I stayed there for hours marveling at the signs and letters and images.
For $18, you can take a one-hour guided tour through the outdoor exhibit. The tour is the only way to see the signs.
But what else can you do in Vegas for less than $20? Trust me – going to the Neon Museum is no gamble. You’ll love what you see! (Side note: If you do wish to conduct a photo shoot there, that does require advance booking plus a usage fee, so plan ahead.)

Lovely dress. Also thank you for the tip about museum. I know the right person who would love to visit a typo design place.
I used to have a clutch just like that dress! I couldn’t stop playing with the look, brushing the sequins back and forth to make the style change. I can’t image how I’d do with an entire dress. Funny coincidence, just yesterday I was telling my husband how sad I am that I never took the opportunity to visit that museum when we lived in the west. This makes me want to visit it even more. (I’m always hoping I’ll come across a vintage sign that will be that perfect statement piece in our apartment.)
