The Designers:

You might recall me singing the praises of Irish-born and London-based designer Simone Rocha previously. I wore a romantic little black dress with pearl embellishments from her in Paris and also at the horse races. While her pieces are unquestionably classic, the pieces also manage to embrace a modern mood.

So, when I heard that she had collaborated with J Brand, my favorite denim brand, I knew the resulting designs would be unique combination of femininity and edginess. Indeed, centered around hues of red, pink, and black, the collection of 14 pieces features ruffles on denim – a combination you don’t see every day! The collection is full of pieces that will transition nicely into spring.

Clearly, my favorite piece is this red rigid ruffle dress. The dress also comes in a pretty pastel pink and a basic black. If you’d like to peruse this pretty partnership, you can shop online at Moda Operandi, Net-a-Porter, and also J Brand’s website. Or shop my top picks below.

The Look:

I paired this fun, flirty red frock with some black and white accessories. The repetition of stripes in both the Aquazzura shoes and the 3.1 Phillip Lim bag pull it all together.

Carrie, you’re just so charming. I love what you’re doing an look forward to what you’re up to next. It’s all so over the top and fun! I’m dying to know, however, where do you keep all the clothes and purses (shoes too ;))? Do you resell to keep your closet fresh or do the labels supply you? 🙂
