Learn the 4th of July Shirt Dress Formula

As you’ve probably noticed, I tend to gravitate towards dresses more than anything. That’s because a good dress is an outfit unto itself! Little thinking or effort is required to pull together a look. Plus, dresses naturally have a feminine vibe, which I love.

In the summer, for casual affairs, a shirt dress is my go-to style. The embodiment of summer casual chic, these dresses are easy to wear, plus usually easy on the budget. When I found this one from Madewell, it was love at first sight. The swing shape makes this frock even more effortless on those hot summer days.

Bonus: With most shirt dresses being white or blue, these pieces lend themselves well to becoming a part of your Fourth of July outfit!

So, this fashion formula goes a little something like this:
