The cutout trend has been going strong for several seasons now. And it doesn’t show any signs of going away anytime soon. Once thought of for the warmer, midriff baring seasons, cutouts are now making their way into our fall / winter wardrobes. I’ve liked the look on others, but was hesitant to try the look for myself. Let’s be real – I’m not a young twenty-something or a model. Ha. I’m a normal gal in my late thirties. But never fear…
It’s possible to try this trend in a classy age-appropriate way. For that matter, I think one should aim to be classy no matter the age! The keys to keeping it classy are to two-fold. First, keep the amount of skin revealed to a reasonable level. You’ll know what’s right for you personally on this front. Second, make sure the cutouts are placed where you are fairly confident in your body. It takes a certain level of confidence to pull of this trend, so you’ll want to be feeling good about it!
