Aspen in Style
Although I’ve lived in Texas for the vast majority of my life, I was actually born in Colorado. While I only lived there for two years, the state still holds a special spot in my heart.
I remember many summer vacations to Colorado with my father, who grew up there. We visited Denver (and Mile High Stadium, of course – go Broncos!), Colorado City, Durango, and many other beautiful spots. Now, as an adult living in Houston, I’ve joined the throngs of Houstonians who flock to Aspen.
Whether it’s to escape the Houston heat in the summer or to participate in snowy activities in the winter, escaping to Aspen is always a good idea!
Aspen Recommendations
Here are some of my favorite ways to do Aspen in style.
Top 3 Aspen Hotels
Top 5 Aspen Restaurants
Top 5 Aspen Bars and Nightlife Spots
Top 5 Aspen Activities
- Visit the Aspen Art Museum
- Ski / snowboard at four different mountains (winter)
- Hike the Maroon Bells (summer)
- Bike from Aspen to Woody Creek Tavern (summer)
- Ride the gondola to the top of the mountain for breathtaking views (that’s where these photos were taken)
These are just a few of my favorite aspects of Aspen. It’s such a fabulous town that I could go on and on with recommendations. I’ll certainly elaborate in the future during subsequent visits. It’s one of those places I like to return to time and time again.
Have you been to Colorado before? How about Aspen? Do you have any recommendations for doing Aspen in style? I’d love to hear any ideas you might have for Aspen itself or other Colorado locales. As I mentioned, it’s a place near and dear to my heart.
