The Wynwood Walls

Spring has sprung, my friends! It seems as if spring has arrived a little bit early this year everywhere you turn. And I for one couldn’t be more delighted. Spring is by far my favorite time of year. I started dreaming of spring a month or so ago when bright colorful spring dresses like Kate Spade Striped Fit & Flare Dress (on SALE!) from Kate Spade New York,  began to pop up on Nordstrom.

Thankfully, I had a girls trip to Miami planned, so I got to break out some spring pieces a little early. Naturally, we enjoyed some pool time, beach time, good food, and nightlife fun while at the legendary Fontainebleau Hotel. But we also spent a good portion of the trip doing something I had long wanted to do: visiting the Wynwood Walls.

All of the exterior walls of the warehouses made perfect canvases for the world’s best street artists to create works of art. This art-filled area is massive, bringing lots of pedestrian foot traffic to the area as people come to explore the walls. If you enjoy colorful street art, I definitely suggest visiting the Wynwood Walls next time you are in Miami.

Kate Spade Fit & Flare Dress

While some people just casually walk around observing the walls, of course, we fashion bloggers had to take outfit photos against these artistic backdrops. Who can resist when people and walls match? I loved the way this dress mimicked the multi-directional bold stripes of the wall, but yet the dress brought those happy spring colors that I love into the equation.

Since first wearing it in Miami, I’ve found it to be so versatile. It’s been my go-to dress for a number of events, such as a baby shower, a birthday party, and a luncheon.
