Hello, friends. Well, we’ve made it through another week. Kudos to you!

If you’ve been following along this week, you know it’s been all about fashion month. If you’ve ever been curious about how fashion month works, read about it here. On Monday, I shared my NYFW looks. On Wednesday, I shared my LFW looks. And today, I bring you my Milan Fashion Week (MFW) looks.

This trip marked my second visit to Milan. I went to MFW last February, as well. This time, after being in London with a group of Texas blogger friends (Hi Sage, Kristen, and Amanda!), I traveled on to Milan in solo fashion…

MFW Look 1

On the first day, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Emilio Pucci show. I’ve long been a fan of the unmistakeable colorful Pucci prints. But I’m falling in love all over again with Pucci, now that Massimo Giorgetti, founder and creative director of MSGM, is designing for the house. Not only is Massimo the creative director at Pucci, but my friend and talented handbag designer Elena Ghisellini designs the accessories at Pucci. The result was a modern, colorful version of a winter wonderland of fashion. See all the runway looks here.

While I didn’t pack any Pucci in my suitcase for this trip, I still packed a colorful Italian punch. The stars of this look were definitely the Gucci rainbow striped sweater and the Aquazzura pom pom heels.

MFW Look 2

A highlight of day 2 was attending the Marco de Vincenzo show. In my estimation, Marco is one of the most exciting young designers in Italy today. Six years after launching his line, he continues to impress with his ingenious use of texture, color, and unique fabrics. See all the runway looks here. The other highlight of the day was attending Elena Ghisellini’s handbag presentation.

Naturally, my look for the day had to incorporate both of these inspirational designers. I once again donned this Marco de Vincenzo tassel coat. You might remember I also wore it at NYFW. This time, though, I paired it with a dress and sneakers. The perfect finishing piece turned out to be this brand new bag by Elena. The Angel bag debuted at her presentation that day. It will be available in stores in the fall. For now, my favorite similar style from her is this Gabria bag.

MFW Look 3

The third day in Milan was a packed day, but the highlight was seeing my friend Giuseppe Zanotti. The Giuseppe Zanotti presentation was that afternoon, and then the team held a celebratory cocktail party for friends and family in the evening. Obviously, I planned my look around some key pieces of his: the shoes, the bag, and the necklace (which was a gift for my birthday last year).

I tied it all together with another Italian classic: this Missoni dress. The dress is a new spring release, so I added a bit of warmth with a leather jacket. Thankfully, the weather wasn’t too cold that day. It was just a very rainy day. I’m completely in love with the stripes, colors, and fit of this dress. Prepare to see it restyled for spring and vacation soon! This wonderful fabric also comes in a top, a skirt, and a shorter dress.

MFW Look 4

My Milano fashion week experience actually continued for a fourth day. However, this particular day was even rainier than day three and much colder. That, plus the fact that my photographer and I couldn’t not work out the logistics to cross paths this day, meant that there are no photos of my day 4 look. To be frank, by that point, I was quite tired and a little under the weather. It’s probably best that no photos were attempted that day. Ha.

Nevertheless, it was a great day! I attended the MSGM show, plus had an extended coffee date with my friends Edgardo and Ricardo from Aquazzura. It’s always great to catch up with those guys. Even the dreary weather couldn’t dampen the mood of our conversation.

That concludes our fashion month wrap up. Thanks as always for visiting Wear + Where + Well. I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments on these looks in particular and the fashion month series in general. Which look is your favorite of mine from fashion month?

Be sure to come back Monday. We have some exciting news to announce! Have a great weekend.

    Hi Carrie,
Looks #1 is my favourite. That sweater is great.

How the heck do you pack all of these outfits in your suitcase? Inquiring minds… 🙂

    1. Carrie says:

      Hey Sheri! Thank you.

As for packing, I really need to do a post on my tips and trips. Believe it or not, I traveled over to Europe for LFW and MFW with just a carry on. As you might have noticed, I mixed and matched pieces, wearing them several times.

I somehow love it so much when you pair your outfits with sneakers! The silhouette changes so much and gets that imperfect quality that makes it even more interesting to me. Hence my favorite MFW outfit of yours is the second! Beautifully color-coordinated as well.

Thanks so much, Abby! I wasn’t sure how the wine leather would work with it, but the weather necessitated it. And I ended up liking it. 🙂
