Feeling Pretty in This Perfect Poplin Dress

First off, did you hear the incredible news? Carrie had her baby! When I say she is the cutest little nugget, I actually mean she’s the cutest little nugget. So, as you can imagine, it’s been crazy (in a great way!) in these parts. You might have noticed that content has been somewhat on the lighter side, but we truly have so much in store for you (including what might be my favorite city guide, to date, coming tomorrow), so things certainly aren’t slowing down!

And speaking of not slowing down, the beautiful dress you see Carrie donning in these photos was photographed three days (!!!) before baby was born. Yes, really! Up until the very last minute, it’s been work work work behind the scenes at Wear + Where + Well (in fact, Carrie and I had a meeting just hours before baby girl’s arrival!).

So, now, let’s talk about this beautiful dress, shall we?

Kate Spade Poplin Off the Shoulder Dress

What’s so special about this Kate Spade dress is that it has so many details that make it far more than just a basic dress. From the on trend off the shoulder look to the lace insets, bold color, and elbow length sleeves, it takes your summer dress up a few notches. It’s also extremely versatile. As you see, Carrie is wearing her fringe espadrilles here, but you can just as easily wear it with flat sandals over a bathing suit on the beach. It’s a piece that can be worn for many summers to come.
