Cuteheads by Esther Freedman

I’m excited to share something special with you today… While I may not be a mom, I do love kiddos. In fact, I like to think of myself as the fun “Aunt Carrie” who buys the kids in my life cute clothes, rather than boring practical gifts. Ha.

So, today I’d like to introduce you to my friend, fellow Houstonian, entrepreneur, and talented kidswear designer Esther Freedman of Cuteheads. Esther conceptualized her business in 2011 and officially opened her doors in 2012. Inspired by her entrepreneurial father Jay Steinfeld who founded Blinds.com, she always knew she wanted to be her own boss. This line was her “aha moment,” as they say.

Esther started the brand with comfort and style in mind, knowing that she wanted parents to have well-made clothing for their kids that both the parent and child would love. She aims to design unique, creative, original pieces. The line is fashion-forward but comfortable and child-like and whimsical, with a focus on color. Esther, like me, loves bright colors!

The Collaboration

With that shared love for color, plus our shared creative spirits and entrepreneurial drive, we knew we wanted to work together. For this first edition of our Wear + Where Well x Cuteheads collaboration, Esther took design inspiration from this berry hued, boho inspired Diane von Furstenberg dress that I had been wanting to wear. The end result : the limited-edition Carrie top. I’m pretty sure every little girl needs to be sporting this chic number this summer.
