Everybody’s Working for the Weekend

Sometimes you gotta just pull out your metallic skirt in the middle of the week. Truly, it’ll get you in the mindset for the weekend (especially when rocking this sweatshirt). 

In all seriousness, we are all about mixing a dressy piece with more casual pieces. And in the case of this outfit, the juxtaposition of the show stopping metallic gold pleated skirt with the casual and cool sweatshirt and kicks works perfectly.

As soon as Carrie saw this sweatshirt, she scooped it up. And can you blame her? It’s adorable! From the colors to the tassels to the fact that it’s so darn comfortable, what’s there not to love? Oh and did I mention it’s now on sale, coming in at under $100?! And I adore how she paired it with the gold skirt (which is also under $100!). It’s definitely a skirt that will be great for holiday party season and beyond. It’s one of those looks you might not immediately think of, but once you put it on, it just works. And I love how she topped it all off with bold yellow earrings. So so good.

Style tip from Carrie :

Don’t be afraid of mixing dressy and casual pieces. Throw on your fancy skirt and pair it with a tee shirt or sweatshirt. Indeed, it’s an unexpected and cool look.
