Introduction
Admittedly, I am not the best at focusing on wardrobe staples. You know me… always opting for color and pattern and boldness over basic and neutral. However, the power of a closet is multiplied by the presence of classic, versatile pieces, and classic pieces like simple dresses, blazers, leather jackets, pencil skirts, and such are the building blocks of a closet. Continuing the blazer theme that I started on Monday, allow me to focus on why you should own a white blazer.
Actually, after buying and wearing the Rag & Bone blazer from Monday’s article, I was re-inspired to wear blazers. I used to wear suiting quite a bit when working in the corporate world, so had grown a bit tired of blazers. I associated them with office outfits. But fashionistas like my blogger friend Erica make them look so cool.
With this renewed interest in blazers, I looked in my closet and grabbed a Theory white blazer that I had owned for 5+ years. However, I found my blazer had some staining on it that had gone undetected by me before. Sadly, try as I might, I was unable to remove the staining from the blazer. While I was sad, I also knew I had certainly gotten my use from this staple piece of clothing over the years.
Since I had been so happy with my first Theory white blazer, I decided that I would just purchase Theory’s newest version of the white blazer. For the price point, Theory delivers such great quality basics. Since purchasing the blazer a month or so ago, I have already gotten so much use out of it!

Given that we are half way through the summer, you may question my recommending white blazers at this point. But here are 6 reasons I still think you should consider adding a white blazer to your closet
