NYFW SS 2016 : Day 5

Let’s consider this a #FlashbackFriday post, shall we? It dawned on me this week that I hadn’t shared my look from my last day at NYFW.

My last day there was quite possibly my favorite… It started with the beautiful Brock presentation, followed by the Jeremy Scott show, the Mansur Gavriel presentation, plus one special collaboration project I look forward to sharing soon! Speaking of Mansur Gavriel, I could devote a whole post to that beautiful presentation. Swoon. Stunning.

When it came to dressing for the day, I definitely dressed for the Jeremy Scott show. The American designer, who became creative director of Moschino in 2013, also maintains his eponymous line. Scott is known for his playful, irreverent, colorful, even outlandish designs. He enjoys great standing with celebrities. Katy Perry and Rita Ora both walked the runway in his Moschino show last year. And he and Katy collaborated on her Super Bowl performance outfits earlier this year.

So, trust me when I say that my look fit in quite well with the attendees of his show. Dare I say my look might have even been a bit on the timid side compared to other show attendees? Ha.

This look started with this Boutique Moschino dress of course. Then I fully embraced the retro mod look that is so hot right now by adding in these striped Valentino boots and this quirky stickered Anya Hindmarch clutch.

Big thanks to my friend Alyson Cafiero for inviting me to the show with her! And it was a pleasure to meet the Sophia Macks of Beyond the Mag. Check them out.

Details on Look 5:

Boutique Moschino polka dot mini dress | Valentino boych striped leather boots | Anya Hindmarch stickered-up Georgiana leather clutch | Dior So Real sunglasses | Essie mint candy apple nail polish | Nars jungle red lipstick

That concludes my looks from NYFW. Be sure you caught all the looks I wore:

I still have some more thoughts to share on NYFW, as well as London, Milan, and Paris fashion week thoughts. There are some great trends popping up that are very wearable now, even though the shows are of course for the spring and summer seasons of 2016. I think I’ll save that until after “fashion month” concludes after Paris in a week or so. I’m so inspired and energized by what I’m seeing!

Plus, we have a special guest post coming soon from my talented photographer Justin. Justin blew me away with the street style images he captured outside the shows in NYC. He has such a journalistic eye. You are in for a treat.

In the meantime, have a great weekend!
