Summer is Here

Summer officially begins in just a few days (June 20th, to be exact!), and while it’s felt like summer for quite some time here in Houston, it’s just the beginning. I’ve already pushed aside my layers and booties, and pulled forward my sleeveless tops, dresses, and sandals. I have fully embraced the season, if I do say so myself.
The other day I was taking inventory of my shoes, a summer clear out, so to speak. And turns out, I have a lot of the same type of sandals. I’m not sure why or how this happened, but over the years I guess I have accumulated similar styles. It made me realize that branching out in the shoe world wouldn’t be such a bad idea. And what better time to do so than summer? There are so many amazing styles out there right now, from colorful to neutrals to strappy, basic, and beyond, and I’m really excited to add to my shoe collection this season.

A Few of My Personal Favorites
I can honestly say I love every single style above, but I do want to call out a few in particular that need to make their way home with me immediately, if not sooner.
H&M Bow Sandals (#5) – I don’t necessarily think of myself as a bow person, but I adore these sandals. Red is one of my favorite colors, and these could be the cutest sandals I’ve ever seen (and the price, literally, can’t be beat!!). / Tory Burch Patos Sandals (#13) – There’s something about these colors together that I can’t help but love. I’d live in these, and just as easily wear them to the beach as I would to brunch. / Jimmy Choo Dreya Espadrille Flat (#27) – While a little on the pricier side, I think they’re worth the investment. Espadrilles are a classic summer shoe, and I’m such a fan of the studs on these, as they add just the right amount of edge.
