Celebrating 40

Happy Monday, friends. We hope you’re in the mood to party, because we have a week of celebrations lined up for you here! That’s right – it might be Monday, but we are kicking off the week-long festivities today. You see, I have a big birthday coming up this week. On Saturday, I turn 40! Yep, the big 4-0. So, rather than bemoan the new decade, I choose to celebrate 40!

And with that big birthday, why not bring the celebration here? So, we have a fun themed week of celebrating my 40th birthday. We hope you’ll follow along and that you enjoy the birthday-centric week.

Marc Jacobs Stripe Cotton Dress

As for this outfit, I decided to step out of my current comfort zone of flowy dresses and step into something a bit more curve-hugging to commemorate this life milestone. And you won’t be surprised that the colorful stripes of this dress drew me in. Gosh – I hope I’m not getting too repetitive with the colorful stripes! Ha.

Other than that, I kept the styling pretty basic to let everything else in the photos shine. I paired the dress with my new favorite Rag & Bone booties – also seen here and here.

Now, this post wouldn’t be complete without thanking our new friends at Ballooms for helping us celebrate… As you know, nothing makes me happier than color.
