This book is more than merely a product to us. This book is a project about which we are passionate. The book brings together so many things we love — color, art, photography, inspiring words, and more. As you flip through the pages of this book, it creates a literal rainbow. And in our minds, the entire book is a figurative rainbow of happiness.

Color is not just felt with our eyes. Color is felt with our souls and all of our senses. In fact, color has the power to change the common by changing the way we see and experience everyday life.

Assuredly, as we all experience life, we have two choices: see things the same and allow them to become common, or see each day and each experience with fresh eyes. We choose the latter. We choose more color, please!

As you may or may not be aware, street art is having a moment throughout the country and even throughout the world. In particular, Houston is home to a plethora of these colorful public works of art. In fact, on our website, we have chronicled these walls via our detailed Houston Mural Guide.

Since first publishing the mural guide just over a year ago, we have been amazed by the response it has received. From television to newspaper press, and most importantly, organic interest from the citizens of Houston and visitors to our great city, the mural guide continues to be our most popular article. Hundreds of thousands of people have flocked to our site for details on where to find these colorful walls.

And rightfully so! How fortunate are we to have free access to all these jolts of happiness? We are so appreciative to all the artists and organizations and businesses that have fostered this spirit of creativity in the city.

The Book

Knowing how much joy these colorful works of art bring us, we wanted to share their beauty with even more people. And in an effort to amp up the happiness factor, we’ve paired each wall photo with a dash of color and a serving of inspirational words.

When the power of color and the power of words combine, wonderful things happen!

Certainly, after enduring Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath just a few short months ago, our city needs and deserves all the happiness and positivity we can share. And it is our hope that this book delivers just that: smiles to all who view its pages.
