J.Crew Painted Pineapple Print Dress

Hi all. First, did you see the recap of my baby shower yesterday? Indeed, it was such a special, beautiful occasion. And I felt so surrounded by the love of family and friends. Second, I had to pop in today to share with you this prettiest painterly pineapple print dress!

What exactly do I love about this dress? Well, obviously the print. Who doesn’t love a good pineapple print for summer, particularly in vibrant shades of pink and emerald green? Besides the print, there’s more to love. Namely, I appreciate the completely adjustable spaghetti straps. Given that you tie the straps yourself, you have maximum flexibility with adjusting the fit. Plus, in my case, the higher, almost empire style waist band suited me well. Finally, the dress has pockets! Who can resist a dress with pockets? Not I! And did I mention the dress comes in petite and tall sizes?

Even if a dress isn’t on your radar right now, don’t worry about missing out on this pretty pineapple print. That’s because it also comes in other forms. Try the a-line skirt or ruffle top!

Side Note on My Maternity Style

Fun fact – I still have yet to buy or wear anything that is officially “maternity” clothing. Now, that’s not to say it won’t happen in these last few weeks. These days, it feels like I get bigger every single day. But so far, I’ve just been looking for silhouettes that allow me to simply size up to accommodate my growing belly. Granted, this is getting harder and harder to do. 😉

Having said that, dressing during pregnancy is no easy task! It’s proven particularly hard, as there are so many cute spring and summer items out right now. And spring and summer clothes are my favorite. Basically, any silhouette with a waist is out of the question right now. So, I’ve jokingly mentioned to a few friends the idea of doing a blog post on the subject of “things I would wear if I wasn’t pregnant.”
