Why Matching Pajamas is One of Our Favorite Holiday Traditions

This month, we are all about embracing traditions – both big and small. And last year, I unexpectedly stumbled upon a simple tradition that brought me an equally unexpected amount of joy.

Let me back up a bit… First, I never thought I’d be that person to embrace family Christmas pajamas. I personally thought it was a little cheesy when I would see these matching family pajamas during the holiday season. But, that was B.E. — or before Elle, if you will. And as I’m sure many of you can attest, opinions pre-kids can be very different from opinions post-kids. I’m not sure what it is about parenthood, but suddenly you find yourself doing all sorts of silly things!

So, last year, I bit the bullet and ordered the colorful striped matching pajamas you see pictured here. And you know what? Wearing these matching mommy and daughter pajamas brought me an inordinate amount of joy! Truly, I smiled each time we put them on.

This year, I expect the tradition to bring even more joy! Elle will officially be a year and a half old next week. She is at such a cute stage! She loves clothes, shoes, purses, and so on and so forth. Basically, she’s into all the girly things – aka everything mommy is into. She notices and points out when she is matching with me. So, I can’t wait to see how she reacts to our matching PJs this year!

While I can still fit into my Christmas pajamas from last year, she obviously can’t! Haha. So, I’ve been on the search for some festive options for us this year. Since I’ve been on the hunt, I figured I’d share my findings with you.

Amazon – It’s no surprise that Amazon has a fairly large assortment of matching pajamas given they sell anything and everything under the sun. Very affordable, too!

Hanna Andersson – Our favorites come from Hanna Andersson. We absolutely love these specifically for their quality, their price point, and their variety of colors and patterns.

Kohl’s – Another affordable option, you’ll find a wide variety of festive jammies for the whole entire family at Kohl’s.

Macy’s – Not only will you find matching sets for everyone in your family, but also for your dog! Indeed, Macy’s has it all for a festive cozy night.

Nordstrom – One of our all time favorite retailers is none other than Nordstrom, and while they don’t have the largest selection of matching pajamas, the ones they do carry we love.

Pajamagram – As you can imagine by the name of the website, Pajamagram has all the coordinated pajamas you could want for the season and beyond.

Roller Rabbit – While on the pricier side, Roller Rabbit has beautiful, high quality pajamas in various prints and colors for the holidays and year round.

Target – Similar to Amazon, it’s no surprise Target has a great selection since they have everything (and things you didn’t even know you wanted or needed!).
