It’s Smoothie Time!

We’re just over a week into the new year, and we’re feeling motivated and excited for what’s to come in 2018! What about you?

In fact, everyone on our team has been hitting the gym (or pavement) and making themselves a priority. It’s truly so important to take care of yourself. And that means from the inside out. Nothing works if you don’t work.

Tomorrow we’re kicking off a very special series that will help keep you motivated and inspired throughout the month and the entire year. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what it’s all about, but today we have some recipes for you that are a bit of a precursor to the series.

So, keep on reading for three incredibly delicious (and colorful!) smoothie recipes Mari came up with.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups spinach
  • 1 1/2 cup mango
  • 1 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon spirulina powder
  • 1 tablespoon tumeric and ginger root powder
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 dates

*These recipes make two portions (i.e. two large glasses), and you can add extra dates or honey if you like your smoothies sweeter.

A Few Recommendations

1. We recommend freezing the fruit, specifically bananas, for super creamy and silky smoothies.

2. You can pre portion the ingredients in plastic bags and freeze them; that way all the ingredients will be ready to go into the blender whenever you want to make your smoothie.

3. If you’re able to, investing in a good blender (such as a Ninja, Vitamix, or Blendtec) will help to blend the smoothies perfectly.

Delicious and Nutritious

We are all about recipes that are both delicious and nutritious! We try to eat (and drink) as healthy as possible, but we don’t want to sacrifice taste! And these smoothies are absolutely scrumptious. If you make any of them, be sure to let us know.

And if you haven’t yet, we’d love it if you took a couple minutes to take our reader survey. Click here to do so, and thank you so much in advance!

Have a great day and we’ll see you back here tomorrow!
