Happy Summer!
Well, happy unofficial start of summer, my friends!
Is it just me, or does it seem impossible that summer is starting? Time has stood still in so many ways. We didn’t do a lot of the typical spring things — outings, trips, parties, etc.
In any event, sunshine and warm weather generally lifts my spirits, so I am here for that! We spent yesterday at the pool, but today has been all rain.
I won’t wish you a happy Memorial Day, as I recently read how that is somewhat oxymoronic and insensitive since the day is intended to honor those who have died in the line of service. Whatever you’re doing, though, I wish you an enjoyable long weekend. And I do hope you take some time to pay respects to those who have given all for our freedom.
