As we’ve all heard time and time again, the most important relationship you can have in your life is the one you have with yourself. If you don’t love yourself, how do you expect others to? Thoughts turn into actions and actions turn into realities, so the thoughts you have of yourself will be what you manifest and put out into the world.
Yes, relationships with others are important. Of course they are. Whether it be a romantic relationship, a family relationship, or a friendship, they’re all important. However, I firmly believe that if you don’t have a good relationship with yourself first, then none of those others will thrive as much as they possibly can.
Oftentimes we, as humans, can be guilty of projecting the way we feel deep down onto others, whether or not we realize it’s happening. And if the way we feel is of a positive nature, that will be seen and felt by others. And, just on the flip side, if it’s of a negative nature then just the same will happen.
Loving yourself is one of the keys to an authentic, happy life. And why would you want anything but that?
