The Best Burgers in Houston

1. Bosscat Kitchen and Libations

Sultry is the word that comes to mind when I think of Bosscat Kitchen and Libations. The ambiance is dark and sexy, and downright cool. And their Bosscat burger is absolutely delicious. From the in-house ground beef to all the toppings (bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and their famous comeback sauce) you’ll love it from the very first bite.

2. FM Kitchen and Bar

1112 Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX 77007

If you want a simple, yet perfectly scrumptious, burger, FM Kitchen and Bar is the place to go. All their burgers are served a la carte, so you can choose exactly how you want it and what you want it with. We absolutely recommend a double patty, and, of course, with their “Shhh sauce” along with a margarita, it might be one of your favorite meals.

3. Hopdoddy Burger Bar

5510 Morningside Dr STE 100, Houston, TX 77005

Now with two locations in Houston (Rice Village and River Oaks District), Hopdoddy Burger Bar has quickly become a fan favorite. Their buns are fresh baked, the meat is ground daily, and the fries are hand-cut and the best complement to their burgers. They have quite the selection of burgers (all incredible), but if we had to pick a favorite, we would have to go with El Diablo!

4. Hubcap Grill

1133 W 19th St, Houston, TX 77008

With over 15 burgers to choose from (and over 10 kinds of french fries), Hubcap Grill is home to mouthwatering specialty burgers that are sure to please any meat craving you’re having. There are five locations around town, and each one will bring you a great experience. And be sure to top everything off with their old fashioned glass bottle drinks.

5. Little Bitty Burger Barn

5503 Pinemont Dr, Houston, TX 77092

Little Bitty Burger Barn is where you’ll find an all American grill menu, full of tasty burgers and all the topping options you can think of. It’s an adorable little spot with great service and a casual vibe. We recommend the “queso queen” if you’re into cheese or the “ultimate jalapeño” if spicy is the name of your game. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

6. Lowbrow

1601 W Main St, Houston, TX 77006

Only a few burgers to choose from, but each one equally scrumptious. If you’re into blue cheese, you must get the cheeseburger. The char grilled chuck with the slow dough bun makes for the perfect, most appetizing combination. The burgers are large, so go hungry, and enjoy every bite!

7. Pappas Burger

5815 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77057 

This might be one of the most famous spots for burgers in Houston, and for very good reason. Pappas Burger provides you a diner meets sports bar feel with the most flavorful burgers. Any topping you can imagine is available, and if we had to pick favorites, we’d say the “peppercorn ranch” burger and the “lucy juicy” burger. And try to save room for one of their shakes!

8. Shake Shack

5015 Westheimer Road, Space A2411, Houston, TX 77056

And, last but certainly not least, Shake Shack could be one of the most famous burger spots in the country, specifically in NYC. We’re thrilled that they decided to open in Houston, and trust us, the hype is not just hype. Their basic burgers are hardly “basic,” and be sure to get the cheese fries. It’ll be one of your favorite meals, guaranteed.
