Your Guide to the Best Murals in Minneapolis

We are so incredibly excited to bring you the next in our mural guide series, and today it’s all about the great city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this guide, you’ll find 34 of the most vibrant and colorful Minnesota wall murals, plus a Minneapolis mural map!

In case you aren’t familiar yet with our mural guides, they have become our cornerstone resources on CarrieColbert.com. They are by far the most popular series on our site, and for good reason! These guides are full of all the information you need to locate the best walls in the city.

We believe in the power of color and the power of art. Street art is having a huge moment in this country. And we believe that’s because these walls are bringing us together. They’re free and accessible to most everyone to enjoy.

What you’ll find below is a list of 36 of the best graffiti in Minneapolis and St. Paul, along with the addresses of the murals parking information, lighting tips, and any other information we think is pertinent to your wall scouting. As well, you’ll find a handy map to help you easily locate each one.

As a general note, most of these murals are located in parking lots with easy access. If you want to visit several of them in the same day we recommend hiring an Uber driver to drive you around (you can easily change locations on the Uber app upon arriving to one location).

As well, most murals are located within three different areas of Minneapolis so you can map them to visit the ones that are close by to each other in an hour or less, depending on how many pictures you want to take at each.

Now let’s get into it. We hope you enjoy this Minneapolis mural guide as much as we enjoyed putting it together! As always, we’d love for you to share with any of your friends who appreciate colorful walls and street art.

    1. Hi there – While I can’t answer that definitively, in general, street art is accessible to the public! Usually, you are free to take photos as you wish! Hope that helps.

Thank you for helping people discover street art, can you group them on a map so people can do walking, biking tours of different parts ot town? Also, there were several new murals done last summer in St. Paul as part of Chrome Zone. I could take photos and send to you. I have been taking my college niece on mural hunts and she loves it. any chance you could do Chicago?

Hi Carrie we just got back from our trip to Fargo and Minneapolis. I was curious if you still had most of these amazing pictures that you took and if you wouldn’t mind sharing them with me. I love the orange flower that is by the harbor lights shelter and also the rise and shine. Do you by chance have those without a person in the picture? I will definitely give you the credit for the picture! Hoping to add to our collection of beautiful sights
