Hello there! I know things have been quiet around here. My apologies for that. We’ve had some changes internally. Plus, I’ve been working behind the scenes on some exciting new concepts that I can’t wait to share with you.
How has your week been? This week was my birthday week! I kept the celebrations pretty low key this year. Nevertheless, it has been a lovely birthday.
In addition, in the Christian world, this week is considered holy week, as we culminate in celebrating Easter this Sunday. Do you celebrate Easter? If so, do you observe Lent? Admittedly, I don’t follow Lent religiously (pun intended). But I recently stumbled upon these beautiful words from Pope Francis, and though the Lent season is ending, I thought you all might find some inspiration from these words as well:
Do you want to fast this Lent?
Fast from hurting words and say kind words.
Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.
Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
Fast from worries and trust in God.
Fast from complaints and contemplate simplicity.
Fast from pressures and be prayerful.
Fast from bitterness and fill your heart with joy.
Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others.
Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
Fast from words and be silent so you can listen.
– Pope Francis
Now, onto my regular link sharing…
So thrilled for my friends Jenn and Bob on the purchase of their new home
Congrats to Mackenzie on her pregnancy!
Are you a golf fan? I am a huge fan, as I grew up playing competitively. Whether you play golf or not, you surely heard about Tiger Woods winning The Masters on Sunday. However, an equally powerful story emerged from Augusta: from a jail cell to Amen Corner. You can read more about Valentino Dixon’s story here and here.
I recently dubbed this dress the “it dress” of spring. If you haven’t purchased it yet, you should consider it! If you like the silhouette but not the price tag, check out a similar cut in cotton poplin — in blue and white striped and in solid white.
