Designer in Focus: Self Portrait

When it comes to feminine, modern designs that are of the best quality, yet still accessible, we immediately think of Self Portrait. This is likely not a secret to you if you’re a long time reader, because we’ve mentioned Self Portrait on the site many a time.

We spotlighted Self Portrait as a Designer to Know the summer before last. In addition, it was one of my favorite holiday party looks last year, we highlighted Self Portrait again as one of the need to know designers this past spring, and, finally, I wore one of their lace bomber jackets that I’ve been living in this fall. Therefore, it’s safe to say we are big fans of Self Portrait.

Self Portrait Tops

As much as we love Self Portrait dresses, we are also incredibly excited that they have branched out and now have the most beautiful tops, as well. And their tops are far from ordinary; you’ll find ruffles, lace, mesh knit, peplum, cold shoulder, among many other styles and silhouettes.

In addition, you’ll definitely be seeing lots of Self Portrait dresses making an appearance in our holiday party ideas coming up, just as you did last year. Quite simply, it seems like we can’t get enough!

What I’m Wearing

As you see in these photos, I couldn’t resist scooping up this Self Portrait Flounced Ruffle Sleeve Lace Blouse. As you know, blush pink has become a neutral for us (you’ve also seen us raving about the color here and here), and the uniqueness of the lace in this blouse is what really caught my eye. The texture, the dimension, and the added detail on the sleeves were also things I couldn’t say no to. I’ll definitely be wearing this blouse throughout the winter and well into the spring. I paired the top with my Tu Es Mon Tresor Pearl Jeans (also available here and less expensive style here), nude heels (similar version here), Elena Ghisellini bag, Stella McCartney sunglasses (similar here), and this Eugenia Kim hat.
